Robins

The UK's favourite bird, easily identified by its bright red breast.  Robins - The bird of memory, associated with loosing a loved one "Robins Appear When Loved Ones are Near" a very true saying and one most of us believe in.  To see a Robin and for her to come close just fills us with comfort that our loved ones are watching over us. 

Robins are familiar throughout the year but especially at Christmas. Both Males and females look identical, the young birds do not have a red breast and are spotted and golden brown in colour.

Robins are great song birds and sing all year round, they are cute by appearance, but  are aggressively territorial and will drive away any intruders.  Robins will sing at night often next to street lamps.
